Guys,
serious question.
Is the some unwritten rule, etiquette etc, that says the captain doesn't have to let quicker groups play through ?
I know at my place in the past it almost impossible if you get caught behind the captains 4 ball for them to let you through. Although they have let me through on occasions when I was playing on my own.
I've also played at another couple of clubs where I was on my own when the group behind me have caught up who have commented I'd got no chance of being let through the captains group.
Most of the time if there's a 3-ball behind I'll join in with them.
Happened again this morning. I played another local course this morning and caught the captains group on the second tee. Stood there whilst the tee'd off. Completely ignored me.
Same again on the 3rd. When I got to the 4th I asked after the tee'd off if they'd mind if I played through. To which I got a sharp response of 'No you can't' and they just walked off.
Is this normal for captains groups ? Is there some 'etiquette' I'm not aware of here ?
