Whilst perusing the entry list for next weeks tournament in South Africa, I stumbled on a guys name that made me spit tea all over the keyboard

Neil Schietekat (South Africa)

I blame the parents

Any other funny names out there?

Played with a chap from one of our forklift suppliers where I work.

Name: Andy Tynch (Pronounced Tinch)

Not funny until you read his score card signed A Tynch

Stop blushing ladies :smirk:

Mine is A. Cherry....

Could be worse though, I could have been forced to take the full family name: Cherry-Bone, which my younger brother didnt get the option with!

What about PGA tour players

Willy Wood or the other chap Dickie Pride.

Got to wonder what their parents were thinking to.

There is another that could be classed as massively politically incorrect if he just used his initials Wayne O'Grady or would they class it as a racist name

Edit: also used to work with someone called Alistair Simon Pie nothing unusual but he used to have to sign documents A SPie!

Had a physics teacher called James Riddle and at one time I worked with a guy called Richard Head. Oops.

And don't forget the St Mirren footballer back in 1980s - Phil McAveety.
