ultrasonic club cleaning

I was on about the grooves, check where i have marked. (i told you i am a bit OCD!) it could well be shadows etc, but looks like muck to me.. I know how badly the burner 2.0 can mark with the anodized type finish.

those are the marks indicated in my post, they are little bits of rust.
and yes as fish put i am the only one privy to that information

i will endeavour to get some more before and after pics at my next event.

Think of it like a market trader, all the best looking apples and tomatoes are at the front but where do they fill your bag from, what drew the customers to the stall, all the best looking produce ;)

OK, all clubs won't come up like new due to age and previous neglect, but, in marketing terms you must show and display the best examples to convert website hits into enquiries and then into sales. You will not have an opportunity to explain anything like above..

Why don't you come to our Help for Heroes Day at West Hill, I'm sure quite a few of us would use the service immediately after our round and what better an opportunity to have so many forum members in one place and then endorse you and your service.

You'll never get a better opportunity to obtain so much social media testimonials, you couldn't put a price on it?

If you are charging £3 a set I cannot see how you can make enough money with this to make it worth while ?

How much can you clear per week ?

Hahaha! that will teach you to try and be funny!! I have used some helicopter tape (google it) on my new ones to protect the hosels!

I don't think that's a question to be asked personally.

If he targeted medal days, competitions, large meets at clubs around his county (minimal travel) which had a field of say 80 and only had or worked to a 25% hit rate, that's £60.00 a day with very little overheads. It's obviously a numbers game and not knowing or needing to know his personal commitments, that may be enough for him to do something in an area (golf) for him to enjoy.

Its a lifestyle business as such then not a profit driving business. Obviously the bigger hit rate the better turnover, 50% hit rate and its £120 a day, not to be sniffed at.

thankyou for the offer fish

in truth i would love to be able to attend your event but unless im mistaken west hill golf course is in Woking and with my current location being Gainsborough that would mean a round trip of almost 400 miles.
the testomainial side of things does appeal to me as the best form of endorsement/marketing as we all know is through word of mouth
unless the event organiser would like to pay me for my travel expenses :o (fuel and overnight stay) or pay the full day complimentary package price (£250), then unfortunately it is not going to be financially profitable. :(

This is a short term view... Put it down as PR. I mean if you cant afford it you cant but I would think most people would spend £3 at that event and you would have half the country's real golf geeks in your pocket.

Not everything you do in business will be profitable, especially at the start. When you pay for an advert its not immediately profitable is it? You attempt to measure a response from it though so over time it starts the process and gives you a foundation.

I think trying to cover all your costs whilst building a business platform and more so a name for yourself, you will at times have to look to the greater good it could yield. You'd never have a better opportunity of offering a service to so many people from so many different clubs around the country.

If that's not worth taking a punt (investment) on with all the coverage it will get, then I wish you luck.

Loads of people have commented on how cheap £3 is to get a proper grip and face clean of your clubs.
At H4H day, you'll find plenty of people willing to put their hand in their pocket.

Why not come along, charge £5 a pop, £1.50 of which goes to H4H, and £3.50 to you?
Have some business cards printed and hand them out for future business

PS if you want to do some more before and after photos, I've got some filthy clubs...

yes i do live in gainsborough.

club-clean could be and most probably the biggest company that offer this service but in reality they are a franchise company that sell regional franchises to anyone who are willing to pay the extortionate costs for it, but im sure you all know this anyway.

personally i wasnt prepared to part with such a high amount of my hard earned cash just to get the franchise, yes i am aware that their contacts would be extremely large but that doesnt guarantee the business blooming with success, during my initial research i spoke to a couple of the franchisees that attended a couple of events i was playing in and TBH they were not covering their initial outlay and were struggling to make it work. yes they do have the added bonus of not having to do alot of leg work so to speak as club-clean have a dedicated team to answer any incoming calls/e-mails but can this really justify the outlay they ask for initially and each and every year following!!!!

i do not have a problem with anyone taking the franchise route if that is what they are looking for but for my situation it wasnt really a viable option.

I don't know how much he paid tbh, he was going to local clubs, (live in Epworth),don't think he survived long.
My thoughts were you would need to get to the clubs busy days,ie, boards comps, invitation day etc.
Is the likes of forest pines worth a try?
just my thoughts.
