hello all i have been playing golf for just over a year now and am currently using a stand bag on a trolley, however i am very keen to change to a pencil bag. i am just wondering if anyone has any experience of using pencil bags and could give me any advice thanks.

not usually, bit crowded. I would suggest a small stand bag instead, mizuno renegades are same price as pencil bags now in nevada bobs an perfect as a small bag for 9 holes

I used a Titleist pencil bag last year when just nipping out for an evening knock.

Eventually got a bit knarcked off with constantly trying to jam my clubs in between holes, and picking it up off the floor.

I'm now using a small Titleist stand bag which is far better IMO, The pencil bag is somewhere on the garage floor.

they can hold all your clubs but i would think you would need to regrip your clubs more often with how tight it will be

have often carried a full set in pencil bags, dont see the need for a "small stand bag" personally. Would avoid the callaway and recommend the sun mountain double strap

I have a Callaway pencil bag, which has quite reasonable pocket space for its size. I think you could get a full set in but don't think I'd try - I have a stand bag or trolley bag for that.

tbh not having a means to support the pencil bag was the reason I bought a stand bag
