As I said I was going to try a different ball out, well I did, I tried a Bridgestone. I didn’t see much difference whenever striking the ball from tee or fairway, but I didn’t like it at all for putting. I’m sure after awhile I would get used to it and learn which way it come’s off the putter face. I didn’t seem to get the same soft feeling of my putter. The ball was very scuffed after 18 holes, (no I wasn't ribbing them I was playing quite well) can't see me changing to bridgestone. I shall be trying out TM soon maybe tomorrow.

Which model did you try Ian, I am using the 330s as mentioned before and have noticed more spin and a bit more success on the greens from longer range.

I have been trying a different ball this Winter, been using the Titliest NXT Tour, used to use the Srixon ad333. AD333 felt good for ball triking but as CC said, could not get any feel on the greens, I thought it was me, but since changing this year to NXT's I seem to be able to judge the greens a bit better, getting more used to them on every round.

Summer ball has to be ProV1's, but have to say the new ones at £46 a dozen, I may need to take a new Mortgage out to afford them. :(

i am waiting for my GM subscription offer AD333's to give them go. Last season I mostly used pro v's but that was due to getting a couple of dozen logo'd ones from my work.

I have played PROV 1s since they came out but got some Srixon URS and URC'S and fell in love them won't go back to the PROV 1's now plus there slightly cheaper and don't scuff up so much well worth a try

Mad, I was using pro vx looking for a cheaper ball but until tomorrow it's looking like I'll have to fork out the new price for the pro v's. Goin to try the TM's tomorrow.

HNJ, I dont think there's much wrong apart from the bridgestone feeling a bit harder off the putter face than the pro v. As I said maybe if I was using them over a period of time I would likely get to know them better.

Brendy, I dont know it was our assistant pro gave me 1 to try out yesterday. He said it was very close to the pro v, but cheaper.

If I'm being honest I thought that the B330 was utter crap. It lasted a max of 3 holes per ball and it was ready for the practice ball bag. I also didnt like the feal off of the putter.

Balls are personal!!!! I like the Srixon Z-URS and now hopefully the ZSTAR. Some swear by Pro V1, some by Pro V1x. Try out a few balls and find what you like, no harm in trying out a different ball.

Incidently, I was today given a dozen of the new Pro V1's to try for free for being a good customer!

Just changed from Z-URS to Z-Star for £29.99 from AG, not tried them yet but have heard they will be better off the putter and irons than the Z-URS which will be nice.

ZStar is softer off of the putter no doubt about it.

You will like them.

As I told you I was going to try out the TM tp red today and yes I really liked it. Very close to a pro v. Well thats what I thought until the last 2 holes when I got a pro v out and played the last 2 with it. Such a difference. By far a better ball, but the TM comes a very close 2nd. Bridgestone a poor 3rd. So I've made my mind up I'm sticking with the Pro v's. I will use the TM's on a knock about but I really can't see myself changing full time.
