Evening all,
Just wondering how long it took some of you lot to ingrain and Trust new swing changes....
I figured out something just less than a month ago that is giving me a much better strike and ball flight but im just finding it a little hard to get confident with...

I still have a very slight touch of a fade with some clubs but with anything less than a 7 iron i seem to be hitting them with a slight draw...Is it normal to find the longer clubs take a little more time to sort?

My woods can have a touch of all 3 shots...Fade draw or straight and its with these and the long irons that i seem to have a little trouble trusting....
Every week im getting a little more and more confident but like many i suppose there is always that one that pops up and says im still here mate!

I trust my pro had me on the right track right from the start. It didn't work right away but I never stopped believing.

Now I have the swing I always dreamed of...

My swing has been coming on great, but I don't have any confidence with fairway woods (as per thread).....
I'm coming in SO much steeper and getting fabulous results with short irons, but give me a 5 wood and I'm panicking.

Normally, I'll work on something without venturing onto the course for at least 3-4 x 100 ball (300 swings?) sessions.
That's 900-1200 reps before I feel safe to hit the course.

I could go after one session, but I know within 9 holes I'll be swinging it like old just to get it round.

I've never conciously made any changes to my swing.......

Maybe you're just a natural. I'm fairly convinced that if I didn't go mad on my swing for 2+ months every year (May-June/July) I'd still be off 24.

I've never conciously made any changes to my swing.......

Mine's more of a weight thing than a swing change Murg...
Getting my weight more central through my feet has had great results for me...

Instead of taking huge divots now they are much shallower and straight at where i was aiming more often than not.

My pro mande a big change last winter and fortunately with the snow closing courses I had plenty of range time to train it in. I trusted it from the off as I understood what he wanted me to do and wht and that to me is the key. I've got a couple of key drills I work on often to keep it working and the ball striking for the most part this year has been much better. I feel more confident playing even if the scores sometimes don't reflect it
