Trying to work out which shafts to get on some new wedges which i am going to order from the my local club.

They come in Dynalite steel, Dynamic gold and Black Gold Stepless.

How do i know which would be best suited to myself?

What True Temper say about each

Dynalite
Dynalite's lightweight, low-flex design has made it a favorite among golfers of all levels. Available in A/L and R/S combination flexes for parallel woods and irons

Dynamic gold
The #1 shaft in golf. This high-flex, tour weight shaft is designed for skilled players seeking a low, penetrating ball flight for optimum control and accuracy. Dynamic Gold woods are now available with a .350" tip for clubs with oversize hosel diameters. Available in tapered irons, parallel woods and parallel irons.

Balck Gold Stepless
No information found on there site on this.

Any advice on extra info on these would be a great help..

Manythanks in advance..

Whichever one the pro recommends ?

I'd go with Dynamic Gold given the choice, btw

I've got Dynalite in my irons, but I'd have thought they were generally concidered to be a wee bit floppy for a wedge.

Not that I'm claiming to be an expert.

I have steel stiff flex Dynamic Golds on my Black Cat's and they're awesome. Not sure what they're talking about when they say "low, penetrating ball flight". Some of my mid-iron shots come down with snow on them! :D

I am using dynamic golf S300's (stiff) and love them, it really depends on swing speed etc, quite a personal thing Hendy, ask the pro.

Will run it by the pro however our pro is 74 years young and some times not upto speed with the these different types of shafts etc..

But from what CrapHacker has stated the Dynamic gold might be a safer bet all round, i have came across the shaft before in a few different clubs and it seems to be a fairly standard type of shaft used on irons etc.

Anyone ever used one of these Balck Gold Stepless shafts?

EDIT: found info on it http://www.golfgearreview.com/article-display/1463.html So the Black Gold gets lighter as you move from 3iron to PW etc.. So me getting a 52 and 56 they should be lighter than the Dynamic gold which i think would suit me better

Thanks

Depends on the head too.

Wedge flex is usually S200, but you can find wedges with S300 or S400 (e.g. Nike VR).

I would tend to go for a heavier rather than lighter shaft, but that is just personal preference.

since True Temper bought out Precision Rifle, then followed their usual practice of trashing the jigs (except Project X) to kill the opposition, this is probably their re-introduction although may have been available in Japan. (ungrateful, non TT types were still getting stepless in Nippon, FST, KZG)

Previous black gold shafts were next to impossible to get if you needed to replace one.

Dynamic gold is not the most common shaft in golf without a reason. They are fine for most golfers.

Dynamic Gold shafts are the greatest peice of golf equipment ever made

They are still the pros shaft of choice after 30years includeing one of the biggest surges of technology the game has known.

I asked the pro last night about wedges and he then took me to his work shop and was showing me around.. So think i will get him to make me something to meet my needs.

He was voted golfsmiths clubmaker of the year 2003/04. So i guess he must have some idea lol.

I have the S300's - but as others have said, it all depends on your swing.
