Anyone else find it difficult to hit proper wedges like Cleveland's and vokeys.

I have no problem hitting my PW and SW burners but every time I use my Cleveland cg15 I blade it or chunk it.

Maybe its the bounce, Cleveland 2 dot have fairly high bounce values

As example using a SW off tight lie will result in blading it most of the time its because of the high bounce

That is, indeed, rather high bounce for a 50*.

I've been used to 6 or 7*

Try using a low-bounce one and see what happens. If it works, you could get your current wedge ground to make the effective bounce lower. A C-grind is frequently a solution.

It's quite important to get wedges that suit your game. Here's Scratch's 'self-fit' http://scratchgolf.com/get-fit.html

I have just took that custom fit thing. My result is : digger/driver

What des this mean?

It is a cg15 50 degree with 10 degree bounce

The CG 15 has quite a rounded head and leading edge, which is in front of the shaft a smidgeon.......
If your Burners have a straight leading edge that's behid the shaft this could be the issue.

I struggle with my wedges..... No distance at all !!!

they are scoring clubs. they are not used for getting distance.

in reality you don't really want to be swinging out of your boots with these clubs. even hitting at 90% you may only be getting around 60yards with the 60ish, 75ish with the 56 and 100ish with the 52.

that's all you need. its about getting it close with these clubs, not distance.

That's just what I get..... When I hit them properly!!!

Although I have played with lads hitting their 52 on our 140 yard par 3!!!

I got fitted for the Ping wedges as part of my club fit. I have total faith in them. I don't like heavy wedges like the Cally and some of the Vokey's but think the Cleveland wedges are superb. It is like a lot of specialist clubs (putters, drivers etc) and is down to personal preference and how they look and feel

I think it means that you hit down on the ball rather than sweeping it off the turf. That means that slightly more bounce should be better for you. Scratch will have a wedge to suit but if you google it I think there are a few other sites/experts who will give you recommendations of what sort of bounce range works for you.
