Just seen the announcement of the venues for this year, for a £275 day out they are absolute pants!

Worsley Park, Lancs
Hollins Hall, Yorks
Trevose, Cornwall
St Pierre, Wales
The Nottinghamshire, Notts
Hanbury Manur, Herts
Sprowston Manor, Norfolk
Kings Hill, Kent.

I know its for kit and the experience too but if anybody pays £275 to play Worsley park i would seriously question their sanity. Terrible course imo.

Some of the others dont seem that bad from what ive seen though.

Same for Kings Hill. i have played the odd society there for about £50 and currently have lessons there with one of the pro's - but £275??

Not even if they picked me up in a gold limo!

Talking to guy at work yesterday and he was saying that they were doing fourballs at Worsley £40 cant see a lot of pepole entering that.

On a lovely day Trevose is a beautiful course, especially if the wind is blowing a hooli. But........£275, not sure.

Slime.

Dont you have to be pre booked & select an area or something tho, if you get picked & refuse it or dont turn up you lose your deposit of £50... something like that ..

I think £275 gets you on just about any publicly accessible course in the UK with the exception of Wentworth West?

I believe you have to pay your full £275 BEFORE you can pick your venue. If I'd entered this year I would be absolutely gutted!!

Worsley Golf Club is a million times better than Worsley Park, but neither for £275.... Are all the courses resort type courses?!?

Fallen way of love with the TT. Devils own job to get into it if you haven't played before and therefore get first refusal and so getting the course of your choice becomes a lottery. Add in the way it is run with players seemingly oiked out for being seconds late or not wearing the pre-requisite clothing properly then it is mega bucks for not much. Great concept initially but now a victim of its own success and Mr Hunt thinks he is a law unto himself now

Don't get me wrong I love the set up at Kingshill and am looking forward to a game there some point over the summer but! The do a special twilight fourball with buggy for something like £80-£100 quid all in, so I could play it for £25 inc buggy with mates in summer why the hell would I pay £275 just to get some distinctly average clothing g to wear when I play it.

Count me well out if the TT this year! Can't see many people entering this year if that is the official list.

I wonder how much they'd get away with charging if it wasn't on tv. I suspect it wouldn't be anywhere near £275.
I Dont think anyone's in it for the silly hat.
They're just after getting their boat race on the tellybox!

Looks like Billy boy has done a deal with the Marriott group as at least 4 of those are Marriott hotel courses. This event gets worse every year, but people keep paying to play it.

Hanbury manor is at best a very average hotel course, £27.50 yes, £275 lunacy. Would rather play a couple of really decent courses for that kind of money. TT seems to have become a Lombards tv opportunity.

What's the £275 for?

Do you not get kitted out and for the caddie too?

Still a lot of money, must be the lure to be on the tele why people pay it, not for the quality of the courses!
