Anyone been catching Frankie Boyle's new stand up/ sketch show??

I love his stuff, though it does makes you feel uncomfortable laughing at some of it.

Definitely do not get a front row seat at one of his gigs though.........he told a girl last night that her hair cut looked like "Boy George on Chemo!" :D :D

Used to see him on Mock the week.
Couldn't stand him.
I saw a clip for his new dvd...things sadly haven't changed.
Each to their own though. :)

A Japanese suicide pilot instructor says to his class..."Right pay attention. I'll show you this only once"
Billy Connolly :D

Disgusted at the image of the dead children last night and really really surprised he was allowed to broadcast that on national TV.

Totally sick and can't ever be justified as entertainment in my opinion!

I'm pretty convinced he's on a mission to see how quickly he can get his show cancelled due to complaints!

As a staunch advocate of the 'either everything's up for laughs, or none of it is' school, I must say I'm partial to a bit of the Boyle but can easily see why anyone would be offended and/or not like.

His website is worth a wander around though!

Have to agree 100% with 'thecraw' on this - FB is just crude.

I felt 'yaccky' when the show finish - you know when you hope others have not seen you watch it.

Yes I had an off switch but as a fan of his, kept hoping the material would improve.

Watch another of his shows?? No way!

"Very strong language and uncompromising adult content which some viewers will find offensive"

It's a pretty clear warning that goes before the start and before the 2nd half. It even replaces the "may be offended" that comes with the other "adult" programmes. If you then tune in and are offended who is to blame?

Channel 4. Late night. Clear warning of content. Surely you weren't expecting Barry Chuckle?? :D ;)

I 'used' to find him funny and the Rebecca Adlington joke that got him pulled from MTW was priceless but since I got his DVD last year I have been put off. I find he is trying to push to the edge but I think he has past the boundary of acceptability. He is a knob.

If i find any programme not to my liking,i dont watch it all the way through then complain. His material is offensive to some, thats human nature. But dont watch it all the way through hoping it will get better, when its obvious it wont.

So why did a fairly innocent joke about the flooding in the Lake District cause you to complain last year?

I agree when i watched him on mock the week i thought he was great but having seen his dvd i just think he is trying to go to far.

I really like comdeians with the scottish accent as i think it compliments the jokes really well.

the best comedian for me at the moment is Kevin Bridges totally hilarious..

I agree with Screwback, The show is a little beyond the acceptable and I am no goody-goody by any means. I do not think I'll be revisiting it. Too far Frank, too far.

Because, dear boy, in comedy timing is everything.

So is audience and in a public forum for golfers, you can have no guarantee of who is reading or they of any fair warning of what they may read.

Hope this clears it up for you ;)

Fully agree with you. That's why I posted it when I did.
Would have lost it's comic effect if
A) The water had gone
B) You'd had heard it 3 or 4 times before.

So yes. I agree. Timing is everything.

;)

I'm not a big fan of Frankie Boyle but I have to say Billy Connolly is the most over-rated comedian in history, I have never laughed once at anything he has to say, astonishingly unfunny.
