Today's weather (Rolling Thread)

Big storm right over us now, thunder and lightning , big heavy drops of rain and by the rain radar worst still to come. Can't see course bring open if this carries on.

Exact same here in Stoke at 8am.

A little brighter now, but the threat is still a thread on a weather app and on the local news.

I think I'll give it a moss today:D

Heavy rain and thunder and lightening here at 8.15am Everyone called in, pro shop phone white hot with most indicating a no show, so I went home. Looks ok at the mo. Ahh well.

its ok at moment in Newcastle area.....forecast later is poor for where we are playing FREE courtesy game at Durham County....3 different fcasts ridiculous...the worst being thunderstorms at our tee time of 3pm....

Where's that course?

Lashing down here no golf this weekend

Although I'm at work tomorrow but only few hours so ain't bad

raining in Milton Keynes and all the way up the M1, 1/2 a mile from the course and I recieve a phone call to tell me the course has been closed due to flooded greens. I was due off at 1300

Tee'd off in a local open at 7.45 this morning under blue sky's, 45 mins later the heavens opened, 5 mins later a couple of claps of thunder in the distance and 2 mins later the hooter went off. Gutted, 6 holes in and scoring well. Open cancelled and re-booked for later in the year.

We drove 5 mins down the road to another course and got 18 holes in with some heavy showers, but generally okay. More importantly , not another sound from above. A little bit knee jerk cancelling the open I think, should have stopped play but kept everyone about for half hour to see what happened.

Played 13, got soaked, kit currently drying out in the garage. Oddly, the more it rained, the better I played. I'd have stayed out, but my companions were not as well prepared, and had wet clubs, hands, etc. I was fine, apart from waist downwards, which felt like I had wet myself. May be I had, it was hard to tell. No lightning, which was good.

Just woke up and it is lovely outside, about 18*. This afternoon it is going to be a high of 27*, just a shame I do not have someone to have a round with................ Oh well I'll stick the BBQ on and jump in the pool instead.

You no longer count. Jog on.

Well, apart from a heavy shower on the 3rd and 4th holes when we thought the hooter might go but we made it round. Played like a pair of tools though in Foursomes match and were hoping that the bad weather would come in this afternoon. But nothing really materialised so score's gonna stand ready for the next round.

Hey ho.

Had a few light showers to start then it poured for about 30mins then the sun was shining

Had a great thunderstorm last night but today it's been mainly sunny with a couple of really light showers while playing this morning. Lovely and warm to boot.

We had a couple of hefty showers and a clap of thunder in mid Kent this morning, apparently the klaxon was sounded but we never heard it, lucky as we were 4 up at the time playing the Captain/Pro

Had a weather delay in the comp this morning at about 08:15 due to thunder and lightning. Played the front nine in pouring rain but the sun came out when we were on the 12th. Ironically, I played great in the rain, and rubbish in the sun
