Money List Winner
Well, today was my first comp in 3 1/2 years. only started playing again in march. I started with a h/c of 16 (which is 4 more than it was when I finished 3 1/2 years ago). The game was stableford, in Manchester, the wind and rain were brutal with occasional hail!!! Well, what a complete surprise, I started with a blob, but then accelerated to 19 pts over the front 9. The back 9 was more of the same, with a total of 37 pts comfortably taking first place. The driving was excellent, the iron play was average, but the putting was beautiful with no 3 putts and a total of 33 putts over the round. The only downside was a mental block which saw me take a 7 iron from 160 yards into a fierce wind. the ball finally landed 60 yards from the green and with much laughter from all who saw it. My playing partner took his 3 wood and stopped it 3 feet from the pin..
