1. What would you like to happen next?
2. Do you think it will happen?

Note this is for the leavers only, the other thread makes me want to listen to coldplay is a dark room. alone. with a bottle of something strong. crying.

Although I didn't actually vote... As I never wanted to join in the first place the EU turned out a worse experience than ever predicted... Was always going to vote leave but because the way the whole gig was conducted couldn't quite get my head around voting...

Anyhow, despite a vote to leave seems some of the political classes are hard of hearing... Move on people and actually do what the majority indicated...

1 - Quickly get a new PM in place and follow through with the mandate. Gove would by my first choice, but I would'nt mind May as long as a committed Leave advocate was heavily involved. Negotiate trade deals with the eu and the rest of the world.

2 - Yes I do and the UK will flourish and show all the doom mongers they were talking tosh.

I voted remain, but if we are to carry out the referendums resultant mandate I agree with MarkE, but would prefer May to Gove, and I don't care if the main negotiating team are pro or anti leave just so long as we get a good result.

Well that has saved me ten mins, cheers mark.

I agree we need to get a new PM and government in place then as soon as reasonably possible get on with the negotiations to leave. I do however understand that some consideration will need to be given during these negotiations for the large numbers who voted to stay. I am unsure who would be the best candidate, I like May, Fox, Gove and Crabb in that order.

Yes, I believe it will happen.

1. As a basic principle the EU was a idea to give geographic neighbours a sensible basis for trade. However, over time, the 'management' ambitions have grown and the cost has become out of control because of the widely disparate performance of member states. The wider EU community does not have enough in common as the original members which has caused further financial and political tensions; this has led many individuals to feel remote from the MEP activities. The EU has outgrown its management capabilities and globalisation has diminished its relevance.

The Freedom of Movement is a red herring as, in reality, there is very little restriction to travel and the World Trade Agreement exist. The biggest issue the that China has set it exchange rate so low that it undermines most Trade agreements.

The UK can trade more effectively outside the EU. EU members need the UK customers (as does Scotland!)

It would be wise to delay Article 50 until 2017 to allow a new PM to develop a thorough plan and everyone to come to their senses and not be driven by media hype.

2. I think it will happen but not before a whole new set of lies and hype are published. Its the classic scenario of change which generally take individuals about 9 months at least 12-18months on average; e.g
a) Oh things have changed = Fear.
b) Denial. it will never happen
c) Oh it is happened - Better get organised
d) Acceptance

Update, I dont like May now and now prefer Andrea Leadsom as the best candidate followed by Fox and then Crabb.
