Tiredness

Im 5 stone overeight and my course is really hilly. Today I hit the wall at the 16th hole which I've never ever done before. The pure reason is I didn't have any energy drinks with me. I forgot to stop at the shop on the way and it really did hamper my game. Usually I get through 2 lucozade sports in a round, 1 at the 7th and 1 at the 14th.

I got tired too towards the end. It was mainly my blood sugar levels and my diabetes and not my fitness levels (can still do the Macmillan challenge and carry for all four rounds!). I make sure I'm snakcing regularly, try not to miss any meals (breakfast in particular) and make sure fluid levels are kept up and it has gotten much better. Of course I also find I'm less tired when I'm playing well. Strange that

Concentrating will drain your energy... one of things I used to coach was the need to switch off between shots. This also keeps your mind sharp

Sounds like every one carries here! Goes against what I see on the golf course as most are trolley boys :D
Personally I believe that you have to be a pensioner (ping user), injured or insanely good to be allowed to use a trolley otherwise you are just plain lazy :o :p

Anyone else ever felt like this?
Is there anything to counteract it?

I did feel like this in the early days. But it only lasted the first six months or so. A 4 hour round seemed like about 6 hours. Then again, I was hitting 6 hours worth of shots. :o :D
