Very strong reports filtering through and around that Sherwood has punched a player after the Liverpool game in the changing room, it is being reported that Sherwood has had a "physical encounter" with Dawson!

I think someone may be in the boardroom tomorrow morning, he's made AVB look good :smirk:

Seen it on Facebook and Twitter but no credible sources yet

Van Gaal will be manager next year

Tim Sherwood said in his interview that he ‘couldn't influence the game’, so stayed in the stands

So in other words, he can't manage or change anything in front of him, that'll go down very well with Levy and the fans....See ya

As a non-Spurs fan, I have enjoyed Sherwood's stint as boss. He is honest and frightfully assertive. It is unfortunate that a young English manager coming up appears to lack any tactical or disciplinary acumen and has disappointed as an end product.

I speak as a Spurs fan and the problem lies with the current chairman Levy and before that Sugar. Tottenham just don't seem to have a business model, it's as if they just turn up day to day with no plan in place. They've gone through a stack of managers Gross, Graham, Francis, Ramos, Hoddle, AVB etc etc the list goes on.
I know this won't go down well with fellow Spurs fans but the best business model is Arsenal. They do a lot of research before appointing a manger and don't act with a knee jerk reaction. Wenger has been there years and so too was Graham. OK Rioch was a flop but at least he signed Bergkamp. Arsenal seem to plan and prepare things properly. Apart from Ozil they don't seem to spend big money but have a great scouting system is place and develop players.
Spurs seem to be like a ship lost as sea with no direction lurching from one disaster to another. With the Gareth Bale money they acted like a kid in a sweet shop and just went out and blew the lot. Adam Lallana would have been a great signing for Spurs a proper Tottenham player and footballer who can use both feet.

I couldn't disagree more, you used to be down with us, (West Ham). Now you're making money, have a new stadium on the horizon. Levy is an incredible businessman, He just sold the most expensive player in the world! I know us at E13 would kill for Levy (especially versus our owners.) The only problem is you bought worse than we did in the summer, and we bought terribly.

I wish some Arsenal supporters would read this post , it might make them be a bit more appreciative.

I think Spurs should have got Hoddle back in perhaps on a rolling 1 year contract. He was/is available and is a safer bet than Sherwood.

Spurs do seem to be a perennial disappointment. The big money for Bale was always going to get spent, any player they showed interest in was going to be over valued. AVB was a disaster choice right from the beginning, his issues at Chelsea should have put them off. Sherwood is looking like a man without a plan and is have pressure issues. Spurs have the potential to be a really good side but they need some proper long term direction and good scouting as mentioned previously.
Changing the subject slightly Everton are looking good Martinez seems to be doing a good job!
