Just getting in there early as it's the only place he's got a chance due to it being wide open ;)

I doubt it. More likely that he will either be in injury recovery or taking a leave of absence from the game under the guise of some other excuse.

Whatever happens, you won't wipe that happy go lucky smile from his face. What a guy! :)

oh Gawd, out come the usual negative Trolls to spout forth more conjecture despite Tiger winning more events than anyone in the last 15 mths.

p.s he smiled and laughed loads during yesterdays round but he 'never smiles and just spits' is the recurring theme.

why let facts get in the way of a good daily moan:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Do you ever wonder what that strange smiling, winking face people put after their post signifies?

While St Andrews may be wider in places for Woods' erratic driving there is still plenty of danger lurking and so it's no given that he'll win. He simply didn't play well this week and with so many good players around, anyone wanting to win next year will need to be at the top of their game. Who knows what'll happen before then. He may get injured, the weather may be horrendous, he may lose form or he may turn up and play fantastically and still get beaten by a better player on the day.

It's way too early to make any sort of prediction other than to provide nedless hours of fun on here for the Tiger lovers/haters

Who knows what will happen in 12 months - he might have retired by then.

I think now for Woods to win a major he needs to be on top form and also for some others to have a drop in form. Always a chance of that happening but I can't personally see it

Are you really sure, he's only won twice since April 2013. The Players and the Bridgestone Invitational. Justin Rose, Jimmy Walker, Rory McIlroy all more than that.

If you are going to state facts at least get them correct.

I agree, last year he had won 4 times before the US Open and for me that was the best form he had in many years and there was a feeling he'd get one last year, will he get that form back after back surgery? Thats anyones guess.

For those that missed it, the little smiley at the end of my OP indicates that I am taking the proverbial ;)

I thought it was obvious to all but guess not :D

Tiger Woods again , Are all you Tiger fans ever going to learn , Great Golfer but now damage goods and too many young golfers around for him to ever be no 1 again , he may win one but i think his best chance will be St Andrews , but to be honest he is done as a major winner , He has to beat , Rory , Rickie Fowler , Adam Scott , Martin Kaymer , Garcia , Dustin Johnson , Dufner , Keagan , Jason Day , The South african lads , its not happening ........................Too many and he is damage upstairs , no longer has the strong mind to over come bad shots or putts , he is done ......................EYG
