It looked like a scoop rather than a double in slo mo. But slo mo isn't counted now.

Very hard to call imo .
But I would say scoop more than double hit
I do get he can call his spinrates but the guys on his knees so don’t think this is a good indicator ,Think he does well to hit it.

Can’t imagine that he didn’t realise he had made a double hit.

You would feel the double hit anyway. Just hold your hand up and take the penalty. You're last in your own event but you'd still come out a winner for honesty.
