Amen!

Game has missed ya bro. yall had it good while his back was out

dont bet against him winning a major this year maybes

Good to see him back, when it happens. Hope his body is up to it. Really can't see him winning another major though sadly. Will be interested to see how he fares though and it has to be better than when he left us the last time

I think Tiget has hit two issues, with some overlap. The injuries, obviously are one. He is older and some body parts have been overused and worn. No, I don't mean that one. Secondly his swing is different. Hank Haney has talked, and others agree that he now plays a game which is more one-dimensional and focuses on a little fade, because he can't draw the ball like he used to without the risk of a massive hook. He is also much further down the driving distance ratings than he used to be. His chipping is a bit suspect too. Finally, he used to intimidate the younger players but Spieth, Dat and McIlroy have little fear of him and know that can outplay him.

He may win an event on a track he really likes, but I don't see him win a major again. Happy to back that up with cash. The Open is probably his best chance because driving doesn't always matter as much there.

The lack of intimidation is the main thing for me. Even if he could get fit and playing well he doesnt own the rest of the field like he did in his heyday.

Are there parallels with Seve regarding his game and having to change? Had to change his swing because of injury but has lost something having been forced to make changes. Catch 22 almost.

He was awesome in his day, around 1999/2000 but there are at least 15 players better than him today

If he even plays again this year I'd be surprised. A few gentle holes with your mate is one thing; teeing it up in a big tournament alongside guys who are now younger, fitter and stronger and out hitting you by 30-50 yards off the tee is another.
