Tickets on eBay? No thanks far to many fakes.

I wasn't suggesting ebay. I was suggesting that ticketmaster auction there own tickets on their own site.
The way I see it, demand (and ability to pay) is outstripping supply, therefore why not auction the best tickets, make a load of cash, take the punters for every penny and stop the pretence.

I'd rather deal with a "proper" website that is offering decent authentic tickets for auction, which reach £200 on average, than risk buying one for even more on an auction site.

Let's face it, what happens now is people buy, buy and buy and then sell, sell, sell. The only winners are those lucky enough to get tickets and sell them on.

It's an idea. (or maybe not)

For big gigs like this I think it's best to try other sites first. I tried Ticketline and managed to get 12 tickets for the wife and her mates and could have got more if i wanted. Everybody tries to use Ticketmaster first and when that fails they look for other agencies. I was getting access on ticketline for almost an hour before it went down

If someone buys extra tickets to sell on at a profit, do they claim that profit as earnings on their next tax bill?

I got sucked in!

Took my son to a wacky warehouse on friday with 8 of his friends (and their mums ) half of them spent most of the time on the phone to ticketmaster or whever.

I got caught up in the excitement, used my phone and got some on the internet, then added two more for me and the wife, so that is her Xmas present sorted!

Never been to a gig before, sure it will be a good show.

HID wants to see Simply Red at the O2 in December (we've already seen them at Thetford???).
Tickets were still on sale at Ticketmaster and some of the other sites yet idiots were already bidding more than 4 times the face value on e-bay, and there were reserves up to 10 times from some sellers.

Got ours at face value - bit of patience that was all.

has anyone had any experience getting tickets through O2 on when the put them on sale early.

Really need 2 tickets for the Foo Fighters at Milton Keynes next year and am on O2 so qualify for the early ticket release on Wednesday.

Is it easy to get through or do I need to take a morning off to stay on the phone?
