Thoughts on the new...

None whatsoever, nothing TM do anymore interests me in the slightest. They are the golfing equivalent of the boy who cried wolf to me. Too many gimmicks and ridiculous marketing claims.

I'm not into TM anymore more either, I would perhaps consider there drivers but the gimmicks and bull crap put me off them. The R9 was a great looking club with no silly names or too many gimmicks then it started to go down hill. I like my Burner 2.0 irons but there latest irons are not my thing. So I doubt I'll be going with TM in the future.

Yeah, I agree folks... I can hit my Dads R9 further than my RBZ... What happend to the 17 yards they said would be extra!!??

Thought you'd gone down the I detest TM and everything they do, want the clubs out of the bag as soon as possible route? ;)

as long as you can wade through the marketing guff, the clubs are very good. Burner2's, RBZ, Rbladez now speed blades in irons, any of these picked up with the right shaft would be a cracking set of irons,

The woods as per the OP, I had an R11, that was great, now have an R1, thats great also! would a SLDR driver benefit me? probably not, i might have a look at the fairway woods as i am potentially in the market for a 5 or a 3HL, but just because its released doesnt mean you have to buy the latest model. i am kind of hoping that reduces the price of the RBZ2 fairways! I have them in hybrid flavour and they are better than my old R11 hybrid.

If you are in the market, just look past the marketing guff and try the clubs out, they are the most used woods on probably all tours for a very good reason!!

you seen the rbz stage 2 tour in for sale section would slot in nicely between 1 and 3H..........

I don't get that they made them with 'speed pockets' then filled the pocket with polymer !

thats why you dont work at TM R&D :ears:

The fairway clubs do look very nice, jury is out on that silver bit at the back though as I like a nice black shiny clubhead

dont you remember Rooter was fitted for a full TM set at Wentworth courtesy of TM and GM:thup:.......along with 3 other lucky B's:smirk:

I was indeed, but now regretting my choice of 2 hybrids and no fairway woods, hence me looking for a FW possibly..

They have a target demographic and they hit it very well.. If their clubs were the best for me I'd use them.. I have a TM putter and it's fantastic...

I've just come back from Spain and hired some clubs from Clubstohire at Faro Airport, I had a R1 Driver RBZ Stage 2 3&5 Wood and Hybrid and Rocketbladz Irons. I have to say that I thought the R1 driver was shocking! give me my old Mizuno MP600 driver any day! I did quite like the Fairway woods though, and the irons were also not brilliant......again give me my Mizuno MX200's any day!
In fact I went out on Sunday with a RBZ Driver and a Mizuno MP630 Driver, on the one hole I used both (as there was nobody behind us) and hit the same strike (or so I thought) and the Mizzy went 8yrds past! All marketing gumph in my eyes!
