I think most top pros use a new ball each hole. I remember Tiger once saying he would use a new ball for every shot if it was allowed.

Interesting indeed. Still Advantage Luke though. Luke can finish anywhere if Rory doesn't win it all.

I think it was Rory that said he goes through four dozen ProV1's during a tournament, most pro's apparently ONLY use 2-3 dozen

indeed a long way to go but if ever Rory needed a statement of intent, this was it. Odds still stacked in Luke's favour but looks like young Rory means business

Looking good so far I have to say, my biggest disappointment was Clarkey today, -1 then had a series of bogeys in the back nine...what happened?

Would it be harsh to say he's not in the best shape of his life fitness-wise? Can't help in the desert. Bit of fatigue leading to poor shots?
Clarke looks to be going through the motions.Looks like he can't be arsed.
Rory looked to be struggling in the 6 holes I seen him play,he didn't look at all happy with his swing!
Would love to see him in with a chance of toppling Luke come Sunday but I think he looks like he is going to struggle to keep things going for all 4 days....hope I am wrong though.

I think Clarke has got his towel on the lounger and really doesn't look up for it. Same last week. Mind you, winning the Open - what have you got left to prove. I think Rory has certainly laid down a marker but don't think Donald will paly as badly tomorrow. Sadly Donald has 50 odd allies who will get the crown for him by winning the event so McIlroy has it all to do

I watched the last 6 holes and couldn't believe how wayward Luke was!!
Every time I watch Westwood he sprays it all over the place, with the pundits saying he's the best driver on tour.
I'm sure Luke will get it all back together tomorrow and will go on to win "The Race".

did anyone else like the look of rory's trousers?....no just me then lol!!!i may get slated for it and the missus thought i was a right erse for saying "i like those trousers" but i want me a pair of those can't find them though

Steady on wull, I thought I was hearing things on our course at the weekend when I overheard from a male voice on an adjacent tee "I like your trousers" (must have been a visitor) but maybe golf fashion is putting it's head above the parapet?
I know I'm out of it, JustOne asked me at the Bushey Hall match if I'd borrowed the style of my trousers from Tom Watson, I was gutted, they're only my favourite pair.

Luke seemed to have his sat nav set to slice or hook with the driver though. Not seen him spray it like that - ever. I just want a cavalry charge on Sunday.
