Things That Gladden The Heart

Worth having a contingency plan for ferry cancellation as they happen quite frequently with that ferry....and Ardrossan isn't the best placer to be finding decent accommodation any short notice.
Ahh....Ardrossan.....stayed in a hotel there once..it had a remote control TV....I could flick the buttons while I was in bed....standing up I could touch both walls at the same time...and it had no roof....apart from that...........

Best arrangement I came across was a full length mirror on a bathroom door enabling you to watch telly from the bath, with speakers in the bathroom.

Sailing from Troon, plenty of contacts there... I'd be more worried about not getting off the island. No issues with Islay Ferries this year

At least you get prawns on a chess board :ROFLMAO:
I remember playing with a group of mates at Foxhills years ago. It was late and we had the munchies but there was no bar food to be had...the barman went out and found a platter of left over (unbeknown to us) sarnies from a wedding reception.

We heartily tucked in and suddenly stopped at the assault on our taste buds....Cheese and Prawn sandwiches FFS!!!

...and he charged us £35 as well (there were a lot of sandwiches).

So, coz I knew the weather was rammel today I arranged to take me dad to Morrisons today. Got to be Morrisons “ coz they have the best sausage rolls and melton Mowbray pork pie in the world” he says. Me mum would sooner go to Tesco. But Ave told her “ me and dad are off to Morrisons wi Bradley Tash, if you fancy coming, that’s where we are going”. So whilst in Morrisons am doing a few bits of shopping wi Bradley Tash getting £5 and under pressie for Nanna Tash ( jar of Costa Coffee and a bagOf proper liquorice all sorts sorted that out).
Then I seen it winking at me. 8 cans of Guinness in a damaged box in a sale trolley, but no price, after finding and asking a lovely lovely lady if she could get a price. She did, she halved it to £5.25. I coulda kissed her. She then said “ I am going to the trolley to reduce everything else”. At that point I did a quick impersonation of Scooby doo running on the spot to get to the trolley. The first thing she did was reduce 15 x 440ml cans of San Miguel to £7.20. Boom. So that’s Christmas Day dinner drinks sorted lads for £12.45.
Someone else is getting a bargain coz she reduced two cases of strongbow cider 18 cans in each to £4 a case 😳
So I get my cheap beer, dad gets two pork pies coz mum is freezing one and all is well in the world. The Morrisons cafe meal was rammel though.

7.30 pm tonight. We have an Aldi and M and S within a mile od where we live. Noticed Mand S open until 9 and Aldi. 10 Told Mrs 3OTT to get some lippy on and took her for a beer/ wine and then shopping.
10 people in M and S and about 20 in Aldi. Sell by date 25/12 plus veg at 8p in Aldi. All done by 9, time for a swift one and home.

What a result. Finished. Family all abroad. Yipeeeee😂
