Things That Gladden The Heart

I spent longer than 3.2 seconds looking at an amusing/cute animal post on FB and now I'm getting lots of them. The world's a better place for those, it's what the internet was made for 😊

(Currently winning is a tie between a baby highland cow and an orangutan mothering baby tigers 😍)

I must admit having been stuck indoors for large parts of this year , I too have thanked facebook for all the amusing clips . Where would we be without Simons's cat.

Now on to ladies hot leggings just because I looked at one pair before realising they are only ladies sizes for sale.

We have a Japanese takeaway that we might do once every month. It is run by a lovely Japanese family. Usually it will be dinner pick up around 8 and they close around 8:30. If I go, then he will put the 2 required tempura prawns. However if my always-hungry son is with me, the kind man will slide in an extra prawn for my son. Once when we were really late, he gave my son some prawns even though we did not ordered it. So when I asked him, he said he rather give it to a boy than throw it away..

Been a bit confusing the last few days but oncologist gave us some good perspective. The cancer is responding the cysts are breaking down, it’s not growing… still a way to go but this is a positive step!
Chemotherapy today and the pre blood results in on the CA125 figure shows a massive drop.. prior to chemotherapy she was at 2600 now it’s 600 .. normal is 30. Not sure whether the chemotherapy will get her to normal but it’s doing its job!!

My Mrs has kept in regular touch with the group of nurses she befriended when she started nursing 40yrs ago. Over the years the six of them have met blokes and got married and had children - and as a bunch off blokes we've got to know each other very well, as well as getting to know their children - and them ours. As well as a couple of get-togethers every year, every other year we all go away together. And this time it's Marrakesh first week February. Splendid and all booked up in a lovely Riad the twelve of us have sole use of. And though two of the guys play our game we won't be playing when out there, just to save anyone asking 😀

Mrs and I often add on two or three extra days - and so we've booked into a Kasbah in the High Atlas for a couple of nights. It's very expensive (for us) but fabulous. We stayed there for a couple of nights back in October 2012 and have always intended to go back - breaking that little rule about never going back to somewhere you loved way back then as it will often have changed and disappoint - but the current reviews are basically still 10/10.

We consider ourselves very fortunate - whether we deserve it due to our hard work or not is neither here nor there. We are fortunate in a way that most are not.

Our little one loved her first holiday in Tenerife. She was not too stressful on the plane either, thankfully we booked her a seat and we were able to get her to sleep for some of both journeys. Only downer was she tripped in the hotel room and gave herself a black eye on the table! It didn't seem to dampen her spirits for long though. I have returned to work today and there were no explosions caused by my absence so all good there as well.

Busy weekend so we are putting the tree up now

Well this is why you have kids

I got it out, put it together and that's my part done 👍

Let the ladies make it look lovely 😍
