Things That Gladden The Heart

Eldest off school today just incase. She's a lot better so making most of the day

We have been to the tip, the bank, grabbed some bits (going to cook the wife curry goat this week)

She enjoys the boring jobs and means I get stuff done lol

Never waste a day

Is your name Gregg?
😳

After nearly 3 years in my Discogs wantlist, three records became available from the same seller. First time even one of them has come up for sale in that time, three is just a bonus.
Come on Greig - you can't leave us hanging over those albums you've so keenly sought - for if you fail to divulge I fear I must assume they must all be albums from the Stock, Aitken and Waterman stable - difficult it would be getting vinyl for any of their acts.

Vulcanizer - The Start EP
Hard Tek - Sound Invasion EP
Scott Brown - Burnin’ Up EP

All from 1996 on Screwdriver Records, a Scottish label based in Cumbernauld.

No, a "proper" old fashioned pub, out of town.
Previously a Brains pub, now a Marstons.
3.5 miles away, in the City Centre, the same pint will be between £4.50 and £5.
I'm astonished.

Same here. If I go into the tourist trap just down the road it’s up to €6 a pint.

Having a pint of beer for £2.65. And, no, I am not in a Wetherspoons.
We are getting a W in town…oh how some residents don’t like that…lowers the tone of the place and all that sort of tripe. Too many don’t seem to realise or care that not everyone in Surrey can afford £15.50 for a large glass of rose and a bottle of Heineken 0.0. For me W are welcome indeed.

I once took an outside table in W's on a summer day in Cardiff Bay, with my wife, daughter and grandson ( several years back). Checking the beers I saw Old Speckled Hen at 99p!
Several hundred yards away people were paying £6 for Fosters or Carling, £7 for Guinness!

That's interesting - where is the Wethers going in Farnham SILH? My mother will be ecstatic, as she loves a Wethers.
I wonder if these are the same people that were up in arms when Poundland came to Farnham? :ROFLMAO:
