Following the trend of ordinary, run of the mill stuff getting new special titles,
I saw this advert this morning........

"mothercare trenton travel system"

or as we used to call it a pram

What have you seen that has been given the special treatment?

Senior Professional and Director of golf coaching development and services = Mars bar seller :smirk:

sorry- couldn't resist, we'd all swap if we were good enough

Gee, was that while you were eating your Hershey bar and supping your Coca-Cola!

Sorry bud, I should have made it clear it was in America and that's what they are called over there, the sign was on the sidewalk next to the garbage container:ears:
Y'all have a nice day now, ya hear!

"The 2013 Pro V1 is Titleist's softest ever Pro V1 model, with lower spin and a shallow angle of descent facilitating more roll and increased distance. The 2013 Pro V1x also delivers more distance and more consistent performance, thanks to a combination of deep downrange peak trajectory, tight ball flight and exceptional spin control. The improved Urethane Elastomer cover and paint system used on both models also serves to retain a whiter, brighter finish and promote longer lasting durability."

Golf ball - same as last year but in a new box ;-)

Anything to do with "Human Resources".... Can't think of a more appalling job description...

Other than total and utter waste of money...

Well this will make you giggle

I'm a "HR Systems and information assistant"...

If all managers had a great understanding of employment law there would be no need for HR. but they don't, so there's a need.

So how different is that to a Personnel Manager?

I just find the term 'human resources' both derogatory and demeaning... I believe John Lewis don't use the term [well they didn't] and it hasn't done them any harm in business terms...

Personnel is the 90's buzz word. The most up to date name is 'employee relations'

HR is not derogatory, it is what it is, a resource which is human. It's a clinical way of thinking most definitely, not always the most inviting. People hate coming into our office for some reason...
