Thermal top

60 quid for a baselayer though, Jesus. Is it made of unicorn tears?
🤣.... Was thinking that's defo a bit expensive for a thermal top also... Now am thinking, I need one of them.. Am probably going to be able to wear it for 4 or 5 months of the year anyway, so is probably a good investment...
Might reduce the amount of layers required during winter... Reduce the Michelin man effect and free up the swing a bit.. 🤔

I wear a baselayer too but mine was like £13 from County Golf for Castore ones. Not sure how much extra warmth or benefit you get for £47 on top of that, but maybe I'm missing out. It's just layers at the end of the day.

I hope they are good, I've just ordered one on their recommendations.

Seriously guys, this is by far the best ever baselayer I’ve ever owned.

“Pull up a sandbag” 36 years in the Army playing Soldiers in some rubbish freezing cold enviroments and wish to god I’d of kit like this.

On the Golf Course I’ve been wearing the baselayer plus a long sleeve Polo and that’s all up top, only addition has been a Footjoy hydroknit jacket.

I also have their running baselayer and that is just as good, infact it has to be freezing to wear it as if it’s “just cold” it’s too warm.

Look out for their Jan sales or special offers as they do come up cheaper.

I have a few i got from Lidle, i think they were less than a £10. they did them in 4 colors and a couple are fleece lines. really good value. had them at least 10 years.

@PaulMdj @Billysboots @Midnight
Sounds great. I just looked at the size chart and Large comes in at 40-44 and XL at 44-48, so obviously I'm a 44 and unsure which to get :D

Any suggestions on sizing from your experiences?, ie do they come up larger, smaller etc?

For comparison my FJ and UA Large are skintight but wearable no problem, the FJ in XL is snug but not tight if that makes sense?

Many thanks.

Not got mine yet - it’s on its way - but my mate suggested to order a size larger than you would normally wear.

I will be interested to hear about this baselayer when those who have ordered get theirs. The trouble with a price like that is I always feel like you need a couple so one can be washed while wearing the other. With things like baselayers, they feel like a one-wear kind of thing, like pants

I wash mine after every use, 2nd winter with my Golf one and still as good as new, machine wash and dry on radiator.

In regards to base layers, I’ve got a couple of UA cold gear ones that are years old now but still going strong but I’ve seen the ‘Heat tech’ ones in Uniqlo that looks decent. Anyone tried them?

Mines has came today... Santa let me try it on in case it's too tight... Totally different from my UA baselayer...its probably about 4 times as thick.. It's almost similar to loft insulation material on inside.. Didn't feel itchy though.
Fits well.. (still look like a stuffed sausage) freedom of movement was great.
Looking forward to testing it on the course... Won't be this weekend tho with 50mph gusts and horizontal rain forecast...
Thanks for the tip guys. 👍

Just played in my new ZeroFit. Sizing up means it fits like a glove. It was chilly out, about 3 degrees, and I wore a layer less than I normally would, and I was toasty warm.

Well worth the £50-odd it cost.

It’s a classic example of getting what you pay for.
My mate had one on yesterday as he got it for Christmas. He said it was great as well and showed me how thick and wooly it is. Looked like wearing a wooly jumper but underneath instead of on top. 😄 I don't think it's for me anyway as I prefer thinner layers but I could at least see how it differs to other ordinary base layers.

It all depends whether you want to be warm.

I’ve got the classic thinner base layers, but still need a shirt, jumper and gilet over them if it’s really cold, and I’ll still feel it.

The couple of times I’ve worn the new one I’ve dispensed with the shirt and been much, much warmer. If it allows me to wear fewer layers, be less restricted and feel warmer it’s a big win all the way.

I like the thinner layers because I get warm quickly once I've walked the first three or so holes, especially at my place which starts you off going uphill, so I end up stripping the layers off pretty quickly. I'd be wary of a baselayer that's almost too warm since you can't take that one off! I'd probably only wear it when it's lower than 5° out. Appreciate it allows you to play in less total layers though. 👍🏻
