Them whip trainer things.

I've tried it but didn't get on with it and would rather invest in a DST. I think a swinglyde would be far more beneficial but as with everything, it's a personal thing.

I don't really think you can compare the two to be fair mate, they do totally different things, one is for impact position, the other for tempo/weight shift/lag stuff.

I disagree. With the DST if you get the tempo, weight, basically anything you do in a swing, wrong then it finds you out instantly and gives direct feedback

I had 2 shots with pauldj dst and my strike was really good after it. Had to get one!
Since getting one and giving it a really good go on the range my ball striking has been outstanding. Anyone not to buy one is a mug!
May take some people a while to get use to but hey ho it clicked straight away for me

I have a DST and a SKLZ Gold Flex (sucker for training aids 😀). In my view they are different. Yes, the DST is all about lag and it is very good and it will teach you turn, but won't help your tempo like the Gold Flex or Orange Whip will, particularly with the driver. Neither will it teach you sequence which just happens with the Gold Flex.

I have one of these, don't really use it though

Anyone got a guide for the best way to utilise it? Mine is the 48" sklz gold flex
I think that the mistake most people make with this aid is that they only swing it like a practice swing i.e. an isolated swing. I found the best way to ingrain tempo is to swing it like a pendulum as you might when you are warming up. I make sure I maintain my swing plane but swing all the way to the top of the backswing, through to the finish and then all the way back again to the top of the backswing and so on. Take notice of what it is making the different parts of your body do, even down to the subtle movements in your feet. Feel what you have to do to get the club from the top of the backswing through to the finish.

If to purely to work on tempo I would pay the extra money for a Sky Caddie swing pro as there are a few more bells and whistles which can help work on various things not just tempo.... right now I only use it for tempo for both putting and full swing but in the past have used it for swing plane and recording swing speed + you are learning tempo with a real club.

Better strike, better accuracy, linear method working, Aimpoint helping you hole more putts, that mental thing going well.

You must be shooting the lights out 👍

Only played once in three weeks. Life (health) has got in the way. Hoping to start afresh first weekend of 2017 and see what happens, although I reckon I'll be a tad rusty especially with the putter.
