the weather

99.6F here in South Surrey. Looking for a ton so I can hold my thermometer up to the crowd (cricket reference :D)

As the temperature climbs towards the high 30s here in the Surrey/Hants borders, I might have to abandon my SW facing garden studio for indoors. Not getting A/C included when we had it installed - never thought that that would be an issue.

It was showing 38° driving around
This was after 2 minutes stopped by the side of the road.
Out of the car feels like standing in front of an industrial grade hairdryer....

i think it has been arout 28 /30 in Inverness the last few days. not that bad here as we do get a nice breeze.

not so good for the dogs, having to take them out at 10PM and even then they were panting like crazy

Don't underestimate the effect - despite drinking during the round I ended up flaked out on the 16th and then in A&E. ECG and blood pressure checks all fine (in fact Doc said those of a youngster so told to keep playing golf :)) - so twas just heat/dehydration.

BE warned don't do the same - over 4hours you'll need about a litre of fluids.

It's over 90 here in the office ………. whatever that is in modern money. ;)

Got to watch out walking the dogs that the pavement doesn’t burn their paws.
luckily we live in a tree lined lane, just the general temp is not helping mine are two short coated dogs, but anything more than a gentle walk is making them pant like buggery.

took them down the river last night, great for them... not so for me.. clouds of midges and other beasties

I went through two large Evians in one round at Sunningdale.
