The trilby competition

I've never entered it although I do watch it if its on, thought about it this year but was all booked out. I think they do have an event in Scotland aswell. Well I think they did last year anyway.

Is your monthly medal watched by 3 million sky viewers? That's how many watch the Trilby Tour, they can't all be wrong?

Obviously they tune in thinking it might be good.............. :)

I did enjoy caddying for Smiffy at Bearwood, I could literally see his hands shaking on the 1st tee #bless#

I think you will find that it is a potential audience of three million and the actual figure can be measured in thousands rather than millions.
Anyway lots of people watch X Factor so viewing figures are no guide to quality.

Haven't been that nervous on a 1st tee in donkeys years.
Hit an awful tee shot, no real conviction and pushed it out into the semi rough on the right. Found my ball, fairly decent lie and went to play a 7 iron onto the green. Came up a just short of a greenside bunker. Managed to get it up and on, just missed the par putt but thankfully made bogie for a point.
It didn't happen for me from then on either. Couldn't buy a putt all day, ended up with 26 points which bearing in mind we were off the back tees and also off 3/4's (had to play off 9) I don't think I did that bad, although I know I can hit the ball a lot better than I did that day.
I think a 7 handicapper came in with less than 10 points!
Played with two really nice guys, their caddies were a laugh too. One of them racked up 34 points which was good enough to qualify for the finals but he didn't play too well when he got there.
It was a great day, worth the £250.00 when I entered months before (and was playing reasonably steady) but my game went down the pan due to tennis elbow between entering and playing so I didn't stand a chance really. Would I do it again??? If I were playing reasonably well, yeah. The way I'm playing at the moment. Not a hope!

I will be very, very, (did I say very), surprised if you get this information on the 31st January.
The way other years have gone, I would have bet on May/June

Got an email from them on 20/12/11.

Fingers crossed for you then! I entered in September, was told that the courses and dates would be available from the end of November. They finally got posted about April or May the following year. The London Club was gone in about 10 minutes, luckily I wanted to play at Bearwood Lakes anyway because I know the course well, (although that didn't really help on the day!).
They were brilliant at not delivering on the dates promised.

Only time will tell. I won't hold my breath then! :)
