No, I bought some clubs from our new club pro and he said that I perhaps needed to make a change, one thing led to another....... Also BB now charges £75 per hour, add the travel and it's getting closer to £100.

2 shillings an hour Bob is a tad cheap these days!

BB, is an ex tour pro who is doing well teaching and fast growing a reputation in that area but £75 an hour is steep in my opinion.

That's a nice, smooth, unhurried swing, get that grooved in and you should play some good golf when you take it out onto the course.

Yes I think far to many golfers try to hit the ball to hard to gain distance.
Its only when you have an injury that you swing a bit easier but hit the ball better.
as an over 60 now my swing is better than when I was forty according to my pps.

Yours looks very good for a man of some years and if you keep it up I am sure you will take some money off the young guns.

My swing is definitely better but I only took up golf in my late 40's. This 7 iron carries 155 yards and rolls out to about 163 which is further than when I was in my 50's.

Since Xmas I've

Straightened the takeaway
Steep'nd the club at the top
Drop the club more inside on the transition (still work in progress)
Hit through more along the "in to out path' with the right hand
finish with the club high rather than pulling out left
No more than 4 putts per hole

That's all at the moment 😁

I did a half hour lesson with the pro yesterday working solely on getting the right elbow close to the hip on the downswing and increasing the hip turn. When i get it right it makes it much harder to hit anything that's not pretty straight and it certainly hits long.

I used it in today's knock and shot 79 - 13 =66, wish I'd entered the medal but we decided not to as the wind really got up just prior to going out
