"The Supervet"

Anybody else watch this earlier????
Absolutely brilliant television.

Yep, it's a great show. Regrettably I have direct knowledge of this type of vets as Arnold ( hence my forum name ) was a regular at higham gobion. He had both ACL,s done, stomach surgery and cancer, he beat them all but an enlarged heart got him eventually. The treatment he received each time was exceptional.

I watch regularly, incredible stuff happens there. Also, from a future career point of view, there's some very interesting experimental orthopaedic procedures carried out as part of his work that I often find myself researching afterwards to find out whether they are applicable to human therapy.

im a dog lover, had one since i was a nipper, but to be brutal i would not spend thousands of pounds to try and make a dogs life last a bit longer,or spend hundreds to have to buy medicines every few month knowing the dog will die anyway, sorry but if the standard of life of my dogs is going to suffer long term i have them put to sleep and bury them in my garden, sounds cruel but to me the most humane thing to do.

It depends totally on the condition, treatment and prognosis, but I would only ever intervene if the dogs quality of life was going to be good. I would never let a dog suffer.
