So I had my lesson after school today, I arrived about 10 minutes early to warm up, he came out of the shop for my lesson and just as I was about to hit my first shot 2 horses wandered onto the range, he told me this had never happened before, so he had to get the ball collector thingy out to get them to go back in the field next to the range, by the time this had happened about 15-20 minutes had passed , so he watched me for a bit and gave some feedback but didn't charge as I hadn't had a full lesson, so towards the end he took me into the shop and asked if I would like a part time job working in his shop... well im a kid so money is like goldust so now I have a job! :D Not how I thought my lesson would go but I'm not complaining!

Good on ya! I no time you will be sticking on grips and delving deep into stinky shoes to re spike them :D :D :D

Much how I got into it. I really enjoyed it and it helped get me known by all the members. It'll really make it easy for you to get a game and you'll get lots of free tips. Work hard, do as the pros says and enjoy it

Very nice too, not only a job but in the pro shop, I would quite like to swap you. You can go and do finance and I'll go talk golf!

Enjoy it.

Sorry Alex, it doesn't work that way. The members talk golf and you give them a good listening to

Ye I guess so.. Out of school I was a works team Karter and worked in a Kart track for 14 years. I would talk about ANYTHING other than karting in the end given the choice. Not put a race suit on since I left the company. Lucky for me in the last few years my boss started a glamor girl agentcy out of the same building. You got room for that in the pro shop Bob?

:D :D

I get to talk about golf all day and when no ones around he said just get yourself some balls and swing away... i cant think of anything better to get paid for :D

congratulations bro - enjoy the job and enjoy the blessing of being around golf all day - the greatest of all games. I had an assistant pro's job when I was a younger man and it was one of the best times of my life!

Maybe if I send my CV round, I can get a second job in a pro shop. It would be cool to tell everyone I was an assistant pro. :D (i'd leave the mars bar bit out obviously) :D

My university holidays job was in a high street golf shop, and I still maintain it was the most enjoyable job I've ever had. Great banter, customers are always pleased to have a chat about the gear, and plenty of freebies from reps. And all clubs at trade price...Good times.
