The Real Ian Poulter Thread

I have always 'tried' to like Poulter and just when he got onto my christmas card list he would do or more likely say something that made me think he was a knob but the guy is some golfer and has a passion which is sadly missing in most sportsmen. I will give him the benefit of the doubt from now on.
 
I think Poults is great. A few more of his type would help to dispell the myth that golf is for stuffy, curmudgeonly old fuddyduddies...

And, my God, he removes his cap when shaking hands at the end of a match. What's the world coming to?

as does, and it pains me to say it, a certain Eldrick Woods, in fact the only one I can recall not doing this was Furyk (and he has an excuse)
 
Pure speculation of course but . . .
Westy was the unanimous choice of all the 'captains' but would it have been different if Poults had lead off the singles as he wanted to?
