Does anyone else have such a sad feeling this morning about the Open having finished.

I seem to get this every year now. I love Open week so much. From the all the coverage it gets on the BEEB, to the way it seems to improve MY golf somehow, to all the emotation that the tournament rises up.

Its a bit like the feeling i get on the first day at work after a nice holiday!

Its lovely to see REAL achievment, like what has happend this week to Darren C, The Two Tom's. and Thomas B, who must have had such deamons to get over at RsG.

I just love Golf.

Agreed, glad it's not just me, the British seniors open is on later this week so that will help to ease the pain.

Thankfully just Sky Sports.

I loved watching the Open (as I always do) but it's the first time I've watched BBC golf coverage properly in over a year. It was truly awful. Normally stuff like that doesn't bother me or is noticable to me, but it was very noticable this year. It doesn't have the magic it once did.

The theme tune is still awesome though!

Thankfully a week's holiday meant the Mrs. had umpteen rubbish programme to catch up on so I let her watch those whilst I sat with my laptop watching it live for the entire day yesterday. Pure bliss!

You see this is the problem with Forums and Aztecs27 has fallen into the trap and actually embarrassed themselves.

There was i with a heavy heart about the ending of the OPEN, and here we go again bashing the BEEBS (or SKY) coverage. They are both good and bad, But thats not what my thread was all about.

In fact with all the stuff in the news recently ANY sport who have taken money from the Murdoch organisation now knows that it is tainted as to how that money was generated. But there i go....falling into the same trap.

Lets not bash anything, lets rejoyce in the fact that we were able to witness a fantastic championship and i am sad that it is all over.

Im off to play 9 holes and to think up a trip to Sandwich with some mates. Thats what last week has done for me.
