Reminds me of a story a friend told me when he played in a Pro-Am with Sam Torrance.

One of the other guys in their team was utterly hopeless but had every single conceivable bit of the latest available kit. The guy was a bit of a pain and bugged ST the whole way round the course for advice and suggestions and at the end of the round, Sam finally snapped. He told him that his clubs needed a major fitting alteration.

The guy leapt on the suggestion with glee and asked what he should do. The reply was to take six inches off every club's shaft. The guy asked if this would improve his swing plane? No Sam replied, but they will all fit in the bin much easier!

lol, doesnt every club have one of them, we have one, plays once a month if that, Ping G15 custom fitted full bag, Pint tour wedges custom fitted, latest stewart trolly because hes motocaddy wasnt good enough, with the latest sky caddie all singing and dancing.

Perfect playing partner? It'd have to be a gorgeous babe who wants to have sex with me after every round.

Best ability? To make me want another round the next day



If I have to choose a BLOKE as a perfect playing partner then it would have to be someone who makes me laugh out loud... feck the golf, I only play the game for the laughs

Quite happy with the one I have. No change that - mega happy. Consistant, decent short game, good temperamnet and so doesn't lose it when I'm having the usual mare and always in contention on most holes. It allows me to swing with more freedom and so if I do have a day it clicks and can use the shots I get means we are usually pretty tough to beat. In truth, the only defeat we had in the Volvo was probably down to us lacking a killer instinct rather than playing poorly and then being victim to a one off fluke on the 19th

My winter league partner is pretty cool.
He plays off six and is confident, hes fairly long and generally in the fairway, his short game is as his hcp suggests.
We have a laugh all the way round, most of the time at our own expense.
He doesn't worry when I come unstuck, he just says that's why I am the hcp I am.
We're not doing very well but the golf is fun.

Additionally, as others have stated, good banter, not too serious and a good laugh
