When we emigrated from Lancashire to Notts about 1970, some kids came from the other side of the world ( Scotland). That was a multicultural society, kids in the playground walking in accents, Welsh, jock, Geordie, Lancs, Kent, Derbyshire, it was mental. my Fave local comedian was Mike Harding. Scotland brought down Billy Connolly on the LPs. half the time I could not understand a word. but remeber one story where ? A little Glaswegian was ,wrestling and bit his own willy.

I was was going to comment on if his work helps him with his battle with Parkinson's. Lo and behold there is a piece on breakfast tv where he has done a story in the Mirror saying quote" Parkinson's is scary if you wantit be, you mustn't let it take control. I stay positive by going to work".

That was the Ivan the Terrible joke, used to listen to that and the Crucifixion on my Dad's LP when my parents were out as we weren't allowed to listen to it when they were in the house.

First time in my life I can ever remember truly laughing uncontrollably.
