Pretty sure I wont be alone in these musings, but just thought I'd post my thoughts/moans/issues,

So here I am, 48yrs old, and feeling a little 'fragile' at the moment.

My totally knackered left knee continues to give me grief, and seems to be doing its best to remind me of a likely Total Knee replacement before too much longer. Having lived with the issues since wrecking it @ 18, its becoming tedious.

Have also had to see a Cardiologist this year, and thorough investigations into my Irregular Heartbeat which seemed to appear out of nowhere in March. :(
Despite the 24hr ECG giving 're-assuring' results, I remain concerned, and possibly as a result, feel more tired than I think I should. Maybe I'm thinking myself tired ?

Have had one Root Canal Filling this year, and recently another tooth decided to fall apart too, leaving me waiting for some more dental rebuilding.

I frickin hate gettin old !

Oh, and most disturbingly, ......I regularly open my bleary eyes in the mirror to the sight of this Old Bloke staring at me instead of my own rather dashing looks......frightening.

I know what you mean.

I felt like I was still in my 20's right up until I hit 40, then things start falling apart and half the time now I feel 60 :(

So true. Plenty of health issues since my problems four years ago (where did that time go?). Loads more aches and pains and my right knee reminding me it hasn't been right for nearly 20 years and is sore and painful in the damp and cold.

The brain still thinks I can play like a single figure 16 year old but the body and the swing want me to get a shot a hole soon. I've lines on my face that I swear werent there last month, my designer stubble is turning into Santas beard (pure white) and I need a cap (or snooker chalk) to cover the bald patch on the course.

I'm a 67 year old git with no aches or pains or any medical problems; touch wood. Oh would like some snake oil to get the hair growing again!
Sorry to hear all you young ones problems.

H/C 14.1 and steady

I have an 83 year old who works for us and would put some people half his age to shame.

I feel pretty ok, kept myself in decent shape when younger, played football as a youngster until my left knee got damaged badly and upon medical results my club said I would be uninsurable.

I am a fat git now but I still train and that does help.

My main problem is that I have ravaged my digestive system from top to bottom through alcohol mainly. I take medication for it now and it is controllable. I have recently gone tee-total with the exception of trips to Tottenham.

A man is as old as the Woman he feels.

Trouble is, mine's the same age as me.......

Dodgy knees, even dodgier right ankle, no hair and glasses equals Blind, Bald Cripple!!

Apart from that I'm ok.
I think.....

as a registered old git - I have a bus pass - you lot make me feel old.

I spent 25 years in the Navy, trying to drink the world and smoking like a chimney. I have always had a manly figure (alright fat), except when I came back from the Falklands.
Eyesight is a bit knackered, tendonitis in my fingers but otherwise most things work well enough to be able to carry a full bag for 36 holes - sometimes.

the solution is simple - stop this idiotic striving for responsibility, it's all a con. just refuse to grow up - my theme song is Bryan Adam's '18 'til I die'. I've just had a bowel cancer screen - now that's a fun way of passing a morning (don't think you're missing out, it will come to you). all Ok by the way but I had decided that if they told me I had cancer I was going to do the DASS course and get a bike, something like this:

as it is, I still have to pay off the mortgage - bummer! So far the philosophy seems to be working - I work with people 'my age' who look at least 10 years older - and they haven't 'done' anything.
