The league cup

Think we were on the end of a dubious decision there but no excuses as overall we were not good enough and City showed their class. Martinez needs to seriously up his game in the league now as the excuses are running out. Hope he does as I like him but starting to question a lot of his decisions. Osman starting and Kone replacing him with Lennon gettin splinters being particularly baffling.

My lad was on about Everton earlier on re the number of games that Everton have won under Martinez and I was gobsmacked. Everton have an excellent team/ squad but it is just not happening for them. Re video replays, my thoughts are quite clear on that one.
I was doing cartwheels when he took Toure off. A midfield of Silva, de Bruyne, Stirling, Navas and ferdiniho is my dream. It lasted about five mins til he took silva off grrr. Then flippin de Bruyne got injured.

He even missed on purpose. fair play Robbie. not a bad spud.

Just seen the highlights and yes City on that evidence definitely deserved to win on the night, the goal that annoyed me the most was actually the equaliser, 3 games in a row now we've conceded a deflected goal, Chelsea, Swansea and tonight, it can't all be down to bad luck, not sure if it's players not committed enough to the block or over committed or whatever, I firmly believe good and bad decisions tend to even out over a season, so frustrating!!!

The difference I see when watching City is they clearly have another gear and can step it up comfortably, they have players that can come on and change games whilst still starting with a decent team, not many other teams in the PL have that as much IMO even though they all have decent sized squads.

I don't think this "whole of the ball" being out helps decisions when we see the arc of a ball still in but the axis well out, like were now seeing at corners, I think this has made it very hard for officials to make an instant decision and has been stated, the advantage or doubt will lead towards the attacking move, it's tough to swallow when your on the wrong side of the decision but it's all part of the game, do we really want to sterilise it too much with too many tv decisions?

City deserved it in the end, Everton played well in parts but they don't have another gear, if plan A doesn't work, that's it from what I can see, nothing else to offer to what starts!

In my opinion of course 😉
