So i'm in St Andrews for the next couple of days and have been given a pass from HID to play one round. Any suggestions which course I should play - Old course is ruled out as I'm on my own and haven't played for a while so don't want to spoil someone else's day if my game turns out to be in poor order

The New and Jubilee are both superb and as far as i know its £60ish to play them in summer so they prob have a much cheaper winter rate. New is easy ish while the jubilee is IMO the harder to the 3 main course there.

New sounds like an option then! - I have a vague memory of playing the Jubilee on my only previous visit about 10 years ago and abandoning after about 3 holes into the teeth of a gale
