Because I was away with work the last couple of days and therefore missed spending my birthday on Wednesday with the family, did all the presents and meal this evening.

The wife came up trumps with her gift - a twilight round at The Grove between 1 April and 31 October (Monday to Saturday after 3.00pm and Sunday after 1.00pm). So all I need to do now is to find 2 or 3 others who are prepared to pay £95 to join me!! So if anyone doesn't mind paying out that amount, and fancies watching me make a complete mockery of the gift, let me know and we'll sort something out in the next few months!

I'm a may be on this, I try to play there every year, as it involves no travel. This makes it cheaper than east Brighton. Give a date, and may be we can sort something out. I always like playing the grove.

That said, you can go off the blacks, I'll play off the yellows, and we'll have a game of it.

I would be interested, depending on the date and time. I vowed to play it after going there for the World Golf a few years ago. It's a bit of a stomp from mid Kent but I'm very keen to play it

My good lady has bought me a round at Sunningdale and that's going to mean finding people willing to pay £160

Might be up for this........HID was asking if I wanted her to pay for a round somewhere nice and seeing as we share the same birthday, it's kinda ironic!

Also Brocket Hall are doing twighlight rounds for £55 which includes a session on their superb Palmerson academy area. Would be rude not to do that sometime.

We were discussing THE GROVE this afternoon after our round. I would love to join you guys but finances are very tight at the moment. Good luck and enjoy.

Excellent - looks like we'll be able to sort somethng out then! I'll look at a date and then let you all know.
