The greatest job in the world . . . .

As much as I would like that job I think that the novelty would have worn off after a few days. I would get very bored of hitting balls all day and this means that, like now I long for the weekend so I can play, I might get fed up and not want to play. Then again playing the course is so much different to beating balls allday, and your long game should come on leaps and bounds. To conclude then, I would like the job for a few weeks rather than on a permanent basis.

I don't think Jezz is showing any sign of moving on so I can't see a vacancy arising at GM anytime soon :D. To be honest what little I know from talking to Jezz, Paul, Neil and Mike it is actually a lot harder than it seems. Not only do you have to put the miles in to travel to the various tests, trade fairs etc but you have to have the skill and aptitude to put into words the products, their merits/negatives and have a an uderstanding of the golf market. It also helps if you have the golfing capabilities to give them a proper test drive.

In theory a wonderful job but in practice another that is harder than it looks. I'm sure Jezz or the others may allude more at some point.

To be honest, a tester sounds like a fantastic job, but you would have to have a massive amount of experience to draw on, as well as being quite elequent and able to convey feelings and views across effectively, while alot of the time, trying to maintain a neutrality.
You dont want to offend a manufacturer so much that they dont lend you any more clubs etc. I think that it may not be as fun as everyone would imagine.

I would definitely pay an interest in a job like this, journalism has always appealed to a degree and combining it with golf would certainly be great. Plus for a few years at least, and most probably longer, I am sure there would be a high level of job satisfaction.

What homer says is true though, I'm sure to those that actually do the job it is not the plain sailing, joy ride we from the outside would expect. There would no doubt be certain pressures and stresses that would occur after the novelty value has worn off.

It would still be an enjoyable job though. :D

JOB SHARE! Ill take it then my missus will fall preggers and Ill need a phased return! Surely theres got to be some sort of journalism in there?? Theres no mention of it!

If you use Firefox as your web-browser you can download an add-on which does the spell check for you....

I think the add-on is called United States English Dictionary 3.0.3 - It might only be compatible with Mozilla Firefox version 3, here's the link to get the free browser:

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/

After you've downloaded the browser here is the link for the add-on:
