The Great Shiney debate

I don't think Mizuno could make an ugly iron if their life depended on it. Just mouth-watering clubs.

I got MX100s and MP58s. The latter I'd sleep with if the heads clanking together didn't wake the Mrs up (plus I wouldn't want any unnecessary dings on them).

Of course, it's all so subjective and personal, except Cleveland VAS, which were a crime against the game. I'd put up a picture of them, but I've only just had breakfast.

Mizuno are more like a sleek sexy sportscar.

Ping to me have always made great reliable clubs but never the most attractive. But Mizzy just have a passion for making great looking clubs. Even going back 20 or so years it was the same.

For looks you just can't beat a mizzy blade

Based on clubs that stopped me in my tracks on a rare visit to Direct Golf, for me the most stunning clubs I have seen are the MP69's.

As soon as I seen them my mind started trying to work out how I could afford them. The wife was with me (thankfully) and hauled me away from them before the DG guy could offer a trial hit lol.

No matter how much I tried, she wasnt having it. I think I might even suggested - " you pay for the jumper, I'm going to hold that club again" :)

This picture doesnt really do them justice

I'm a long way from playing with a blade but I did play a few holes with a friends Mizzies and they were great. So thin looking down and when you hit them the difference in feel was astonishing.

They will be serious contenders for my next set.

Just waiting on a Mizzy thread for fitting and trials from Paul O' ;)

They just know how to make an iron. When I hit mine you barely feel a thing. It is about time though they learnt how to make great woods, it will take a lot to make me move from TM when it comes to drivers and fairways.

Cobra S2 Forged for me.

Small amount of offset in the longer irons. These irons stronger loft much like TMs latest offerings, for example the PW is 43* so be under no illusion your a club longer because of innovation or better play its purely the loft of the club. However I can't even claim that to be a flaw as once you get used to hitting them further the feel off the face is so so it's like running a hot knife through butter. These irons will suit everyone from Cat1 strong ball strikers due to the feel and power you get as well as offering mid handicappers the chance to play a more forgiving forged iron and be hitting shorter irons more often due to the distance though I didn't buy these for the fact they're longer but for the fact they are so sweet off the face.

That's probably more than 80 words but oh well

Seconded, these are in my bag too.

Callaway Razr X Forged are pretty damn nice, shame I am too crap to game them
