The Gorgie Boys are in Town(Again)

How did they manage to get the Liverpool youngster [with the unspellable name] on loan. Deal of the centuary that one.
From what I have seen of our young players they are looking quite good. Last game they had six under 21 year olds playing.

For the uninitiated, the "Gorgie Boys" and the "JTs" (Jam Tarts) are the Hearts of Midlothian. Myself, I was always a "Pars" man.

Ngoo. He is very ungainly, but he has some great skill, can finish, is 6ft 4 (but can't head a ball), gangly. However, he is dead jammy (no pun intended), a bit like Suarez loves a dribble, but it always seems to fall for him.

One to watch, er maybe.

Hearts have also loaned Wilson from Liverpool so there must be a pals act going on there.
Wilson was the teenager that Liverpool payed The Rangers Zillions for about 3 years ago.

Well Jambos v Buddies [St Mirren for viewers in England] in the final. They really wiped the floor with Celtic, don't be fooled by the score.
If both teams play as they played the semis it should be a cracking game.

They what??

Poor display by us,players looked like they couldn't be arsed and it showed but the team who had more of the play, possession and chances lost.It happens.

What today definately showed was that Zaluska is dreadful in comparison the Forster and after probably 2 years of fannying about we still do not appear to have a penalty taker!!

Referee was dreadful for both sides, worse than the one that did yesterdays game and that is saying something.

Not to worry,it will be a good day out for the 2 clubs and we have bigger games to look forward to,no-one died and out club is still here to fight another day.....:smirk:

That really was the poorest Celtic goalie I have seen since '9 past Haffie'
Best hope Foster does not get injured before the European games.

Yup, the Buddies rose to the occasion today and played as a team and with passion despite their limited experience and talent. Celtic were poor but probably have their minds on bigger games to come. Stand-in keeper was pretty awful and Wanyama looked like he really couldn't be arsed.

I am no disputing that,They did not however 'wipe the floor' no matter what way you wish to look at it.

Yep from what I seen the Tic fielded their best team but on the day they got their ass kicked by the better side, it happens no point in crying about it through your green tinted glasses. Well done St Mirren now go all the way...

More to the point, the other player they got from Liverpool should not have been on the park as he should have been serving a ban

Depends how you define "wipe the floor". You could equally say that they "played their socks off" or "gave 110% for the full 94 minutes" or use any other old football cliche.

This might be a blessing in disguise for Celtic with the Juventus games coming up. Saints were hammered 4-1 at home by Ross County last weekend and bounced back to win yesterday. Hopefully the Celtic players will get some motivation from this humbling by Paisley's finest and raise their game in the last 16 of the CL.

Except he should and was.Hearts followed the correct procedure and cannot be held responsible for the balls up.

It does not make it any easier on Inverness though.

When discussing it on Saturday night, a mate who works at Tynecastle told us that it was Wilson himself that brought it to the attention of the club and the club were told by the SFA that there was no outstanding ban on his registered paperwork.

The FA/SFA have got previous for this. Lee McCulloch was sent off for Wigan on the last day of the season. He moved to Rangers in the summer and there was nothing about a ban on his paperwork so he did not serve a ban and was allowed to play in the first game of the season in the SPL, ironically against Inverness
