The Dukes Course, St Andrews

I will have the chance to play this course at some point through the year.

Is it worth the trek through from Ayrshire to play it ?

What are your experiences of the place ?

Hi Allan I have played the Duke,s a couple of times although it was a couple of years ago.From memory it is quite long with a few good holes I should have the strokesaver in the house if I find it I will put it in your locker.

yea i think it`s worth the trip up , it`s into the top 100 now and the changes that they made when kohler took over is very noticeable ... more investment and always used to be wet and played very long ,but they thinned out the tree`s to let the wind and sun in ,it`s made a huge difference from the original thomson design. probably best when the weather starts to warm up a bit - maybe august /sept !!!!
