I had the Big Bertha Alpha driver courtesy of Callaway but found that although I was able to tonk it quite a distance the dispersion off the face on poorer hits was problematic on our tree lined course. I was fitted for a Callaway X2 Hot driver at Kings of Distance so ended up swapping the Alpha for the set up that Callaway had recommended, 9* blue stiff shaft, slight draw. A friend loved my Alpha so bought the X2 Hot driver with the free 3 hybrid for me and then did a swap.

I hit 13 drives and 11 fairways with the slightly less stiff ( I think) shafted driver and the bonus was that the hybrid went miles on its occasional trip out of the bag. So, all Callaway now, bar my two wedges and putter, and a new convert to Callaway with the Alpha!

Nice one Chris - the Alpha can be a bit of a beast, I didn't get on with it at all at my fitting.
The BB may have been better for you but the X2 Hot is a good replacement.
The Blue shaft is a good one, a bit less work than the Green...!!
Still hitting my BB generally well, sometimes very well!!

I was hitting my Ping G15 well, before KOD there didn't seem to be an alternative to the BB or Alpha on the freebie but the X Hot seems to be easy to swing like the G15 but quite a bit longer which at KOD was give as 278 yards average. A few drives at Cooden with the Alpha were 275+ so I'm pleased that the X Hot is about the same distance.

Glad you're happy with the BB Ian, life's in a better place if you whack it off the tee!

All you need to do now is update your signature ;)
