Morning all,

Just wanted to wish everyone who's involved in this week's event at the Belfry all the best. I know a lot of us aren't involved, mainly for geographical reasons, but it sounds like it'll be a classic already. Good old GM.

You'll be our eyes and ears there so remember to take lots of photos and video, folks, and get posting when you get home on Wednesday/Thursday. I'm already looking forward to hearing and seeing the coverage.

As usual, I've got my money on TonyN for a top 3 finish. No pressure then, Tony! If it's anywhere near as good as the Goswick trip then you'll all have a ball.

Deep breaths on the first tee now boys and girls! Excited?

:D

For those of you who are playing and haven't been there before, the first is a gentle opening hole of about 390-400yds

Have fun :D

Hapless, honestly. It's all about multi-tasking.

Now if you were a woman you could do all that easily and give birth on the tenth. Maybe you should be replaced by Katriona Matthew!

Can I suggest this for the photos and video footage.

Not only is it discreet, functional and stylish to wear on the course... but it'll also protect you from gashing your head open on overhanging trees. I've ordered one for Atticus for our next trip.

:D

There's a certain twinge of jealousy as I write this as I'm not able to make it to The Belfry after a change of job halfway through the year didn't leave me with any holidays until October

For those of you attending, have a great time, play well and enjoy the day(s). For those who are attending their first Forum event, don't worry it will be a great experience. You'll meet new people and you'll be able to put faces to names. ;)

As J_F says, you will be our eyes and ears so we expect lots of gossip, photos etc to be posted by the end of the week. :D

Hope the weather is kind to you all.

Have a great time.

Just finished cleaning my clubs in readiness. Really looking forward to it now. Bag will be packed tonight ready for Tuesday morning. Looking forward to meeting some more forumers and to meeting the gm team for the first time

All you guys who have cleaned your clubs, I take it the practicing is finished?

An afternoon at the club tomorrow for me, I am sure it will make all the difference :D :D

Remind me of it every time I put one in the water :)

Looking forward to meeting you all.

practice is over now after a very average round this morning. Work tomorrow, a couple of hours in the office on Tuesday morning then up to the belfry range about half eleven to warm up on Tuesday morning

I just need a new shaft in my putter and I am ready to go. Not a good medal today. 4 three putts in a row, and then putting with my lob wedge.

Temper, me? Never.

guys thank you for your good wishes - I really hope we get the chance to meet up again early next year.

batteries are charged - trolley and camera, (note to self - take the ****** lens cap off!). still haven't got a way to mount the camera on the trolley!

clubs sparkling, though maybe a few swings at the range (nothing too strenuous) on the way home from work tomorrow (I can't see much getting done, too hyped).

new breathable waterproof top arrived in time (well done affordablegolf) - not that we'll need it of course.

Heading up earlyish Tuesday to avoid traffic on the A14, so should be time for some background shots, and a cruise through the pro's shops (now do I really need a cf'd driver?)

Had a disaster on Saturday in a club comp :( so LOTS more practice needed, brothers birthday today and having a 'Family Challenge' match with all the cousins, nephews etc playing in a mini tournament. Then playing Forest Pines on Tuesday so hoping to find some form again.

If not, I will apologise in advance to the group following us! :o

Really looking forward to the trip now,see you all on Wednesday :)

Thanks for the good wishes fellas.

After a reasonable game in our Monthly Stableford (36pts with 3 blobs and a couple of 1 pointers) at the weekend, I'm really looking forward to it.

Would loved to have gone but a week-end in Cornwall playing next week, plus a pre-booked expensive day out at Hankley Common next Tuesday saw me having to pull the financial reins in a little.
Hope you all have a great day, and fingers crossed for decent weather.
Good luck

;)
