A thought often pondered but as I have no experience of driving anything that I would probably buy I would test drive quite a few cars before I bought one.

On my list lst would be some sort of sports SUV for everyday day use
A spots car for occasional use ( I like my comfort too much, particulalry ease of getting in and out to use one everyday)
and something for a spot of nostalgia Lotus Cortina, Mercedes Convertible SL

Murph will know this pain, those Merc 63’s empty tanks at a staggering rate.
In a Merc GLS63 From York to London and then back. 3 tanks of fuel. £120 to fill the tank each time.
It was painful watching him fill it.

I am staggered at how economical mine is. It's the 577bhp 5.5 biturbo, and over the last 13000 miles, I have averaged 25 mpg, with up to 30 on a run. My 300C 3 ltr diesel was 28 to 33, my Z4 is 25 to 30, and same for Mrs Mogs Z3M. None of them get an easy ride, so they are not babied about.
That said, Mrs Mogs petrol card is on the AMG.

BMW X5
BMW Z4
BMW i3

Hopefully get a discount if bought all together.

As a child I always admired the Audi Allroad Quadro, so the x5 might have to make space for a Q7 instead.

Its Euromillions tonight, so I might pop into the dealership tomorrow;-)

So a plug-in hybrid would be of no interest?

Fuel consumption (combined)122.8 mpg
£0 Annual tax
£0 congestion charge
