As I have the whole period off from Good Friday until after the May Bank Holiday I had a look at our club's diary to see what comps are on to enter. Was pretty shocked to see that pretty much the whole day of the Royal Wedding has been booked out to Societies. Now my club is normally pretty good when it comes to getting the members on the course but booking out a most of the day on a Bank Holiday seems a bit much. Would have expected a Royal Wedding Medal or such like but nope. I know that all clubs need cash but 4 societies with up to an hour and a half of tee times effectively closes the course.

Thank God for the North Lincolnshire forum meet.

Anybody else had a look at the diary for this period to see if their course has been booked out to raise some funds?

Nope. Got a game booked with fourputt for that day. To be honest we try and keep societies to Wednesdays only

We have no societies at weekends and I would have counted bank holidays in as weekends but clearly not.

Maybe the booking was taken before the Wedding and bank holiday were announced ? Was it not early November they kicked this all off ?

Your fixture card would be well on the way to Revision 2 or 3 in the preparation stages by then surely Too late to do anything about it really.

NE Lincs mini meet is morning at Grimsby Golf Club and then over to Normanby Hall for an afternoon round. Royal wedding day meet to take advantage of the free day off.

I have provisional spots booked and need to confirm numbers with the Pro later this week for Grimsby.
