Doesn’t look like Tiger enjoyed playing it![]()
I mentioned pages back about a year ago that this is going to be heavily centred around betting/gambling. There's folk out there that'll bet on anything
Oh and I wouldn't be surprised to find that new equipment launch's are shoe-horned into the broadcast too
No spoilers please - although I’m sure Tiger (who is so amazing) led Jupiter Links to a resounding victory… GO JUPITER!!!! YEAH!!!!!
Anyway, I’m going to sit down with a few sodas, some corn dogs, a bucket of popcorn, maybe some root beer.. and watch Tiger (who is so amazing) lead Jupiter Links to a resounding victory in the most realistic and bestest golf simulation studio arena the world has everrrrrrr seeeeeeeeeennnn.

Yes, its strange that they took. I maybe a fine TV game show, or not, and to some people's taste, or not. But it certainly isnt Sport. Its close relations are A Question of Sport, or Bullseye, with banter from sports celebs and a nod in the direction of actual sport, its makeup. Darts and snooker are the debatable outer limits that may or not be 'sport', but for a sports channel to go down the general entertainment route is a dilution of their positioning as a sports channel.Irritates me to think part of my Sky Sports subscription is going towards this garbage.

It’s not as bad as cricket or premier league football.Irritates me to think part of my Sky Sports subscription is going towards this garbage.
This is the weirdest bit really. The visuals are a lot worse than the EaSports golf game I have on my PS5.As a side note, for all the hype about the “tech” their golf course visuals are more Nintendo Wii than Horizon.![]()
Because not all the tickets have been soldWhy is there loads of empty seats?
In that respect it has an edge over LIV which at least is using real golf courses. I wonder how much appetite there is for watching golf with nothing at stake. I could see TGL doing even worse and just being a one season thing. Banter and side bets and the likes is fine for no-namers on youtube, who are never in real tournaments anyway. But these are good golfers, and they are pretending to play as if they care, and its hard to see anyone buying the charade, but I guess we have learned over the last 20 years that there can be an audience for reality-TV (and by reality we mean fake reality) no matter how garbage. World class sportsmen debasing themselves like this is just embarassing. Between TGL and LIV, could pro golf be killing the goose that lays the golden egg, as people dont even take them seriously when they turn out for real tournaments soon ?This is the weirdest bit really. Finally got around to watching it,it’s actually worse than I expected.
