Test Match

Really does make me think the Indian appeal against Jimmy is working against them and firing him up

With him soon to become England's highest ever wicket taker has there ever been a better English bowler for me he is the best.

The only issue I see with using numbers for stats is just how many tests/matches they play these days!

Unfortunately, I'm too young to know many bowlers, but he is the best I have seen in my short span!

To be quite honest I totally agree with you here, I only remember Botham coming out of retirement to be picked in the early 90's, in fairness I have watched some fantastic bowlers but none with Andersons consistency.

Great performance by England. Shame that last wicket went down before the end of the day. Cook still looking short of confidence and technique despite his knock last match. Hopefully a decent total posted tomorrow and a decent and easy win by Sunday

Thats about as inept a batting display as you wish to ever see from India today. with every chance tomorrow wouldve been a washout and monday poor too, a little application this afternoon wouldve given them every chance of saving the game (especially with england a man down), instead they have found all sorts of ways to get themselves out.

Moeen bowling been a massive plus again for England but both Woakes and Jordan still look to offer little threat, sooner or later we have to choose to pick the best bowlers based on their bowling ability not their batting and bowling ability

I couldn't agree more. I'm also a fan of picking a wicketkeeper purely on the basis of his 'keeping. A bad performance behind the stumps can cost a side several wickets in an innings, 30 or 40 runs with the bat can't make up for that. A team needs one allrounder for balance, not a whole tail end of 'em.

Jordan was lucky to be picked after his performance in the last test.

Why was Plunket not playing in the last test, i would have thought the fastest track in the country would have suited the fastest bowler?

Injured?
